Passopisciaro "Contrada S - Sciaranuova" '20

The late, great Andrea Franchetti, along with Franchetti, is one of the godfathers of the modern Etna scene. He was always pushing for Etna, getting it known on the world stage. He was an early adopter of highlighting the contrada as well. I've always been a big fan of Sciaranuova, planted in 1933, at 850 meters of altitude. This is a very young wine, primary, but with great presence, herbal notes, high-toned red fruit, and a long finish. Keep this for a few more years.
